The Public Eye

Bio

The Public Eye are a four-piece indie rock band formed in Derby, England in late 2021.

Bursting with catchy hooks, jangling guitar tones and a driving rhythm section, The Public Eye’s music is an exciting melting pot of classic British rock and lyrics that tackle the current topics and issues surrounding the youth of today.

Following a string of single releases, the band released their debut 5 track EP ‘In the OutBuilding’ in July 2022 -  very much announcing themselves to the UK Indie scene. ThisIsTheMusic wrote ‘a fantastic EP, full of indie anthems that will stand the test of time’.

Since the band's inception, they have amassed a strong local following and have consistently
received great support from BBC Introducing, with the band being chosen to play on the BBC Introducing stage at Y NOT? Festival 2022 and headlining BBC Introducing Live in Nottingham this year. The band also made their first BBC Radio 6 debut this April.

With an EP under their belt and a summer of relentless gigging, The Public Eye are undertaking
the task of bringing UK guitar music back to the masses and showing no sign of slowing down. We can't wait to have them play at The Weekend Rumble 2023..!
